I think it is safe to say Larry and Shelley from Wisconsin are enjoying what New Zealand has to offer by Harley Davidson. Here was their day yesterday - the GPS was sending them Rotorua to Gisborne via the Waioweka Gorge (also stunning) but they did a bit of an extra loop via Hicks Bay to make up for a wash out day earlier in the tour.
Here is the email and photo they sent me:
“Check out where we went today! See the photo below. This was an awesome ride and we still made it to Gilborne by 6:00! We also stopped by a farm and visited with one of the guys who was milking. That was way awesome. The scenery today was amazing, we kind of did this loop to make up for the wash out the other day. My seat is still wet. Oh well better than not riding. Thanks again this is so wonderful everybody is so nice and so helpful. You live in a great country. P.S. We made it from Opotiki to Gisborne on one tank of gas! No we did not coast down the hills either!”
