FAQs - Motorcycle Hire in New Zealand

Free of charge storage of your excess luggage during motorcycle rental periods at our Auckland, Christchurch and Waihi locations. We can arrange transfer between depots if required at a cost of approximately $60 per suitcase.

All our Harley Davidson motorbikes have passenger backrests, panniers/saddle bags and either a top box or luggage rack. They also have crash bars and highway pegs.

Day hire is from 08:30 hours to 17:30 hours.

Unlimited kilometres for hires of 3 days or greater.

3 days or less hire period limited to 350kms per day, any excess over this charged at 0.70 cents per kilometre.

Pick up and return to the same depot (we have permanent Harley Davidson motorcycle depots in Auckland, Christchurch, and Waihi).

We have Queenstown and Wellington available to hire from and to but a minimum rental period from these locations is 5 days.

One-way Harley Davidson motorbike rental between any of our depots/locations is available at a one off charge of NZ$750. A hire must be 5 days or longer to be able to do a one way hire and if your hire is 19 days or longer no one way hire fee applies.

All quoted prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST).

You must hold a full motorcycle licence to rent one of our Harley Davidson motorbikes.

We also require a copy of your passport details for hiring one of our bikes, and we will take this copy as we process your rental.

All renters/hirers must sign a Bularangi Motorbikes rental agreement before taking the motorcycle out on hire.

Bularangi Motorbikes has GPS systems available that can be fitted to your bike so there is never any need to get lost on the New Zealand Roads – this is an extra charge of NZ$10 per day.
