About Hiring a Harley
Do you include any riding equipment when renting a bike from you?
Yes, included in our price quotes is jackets, helmets, gloves and wet weather gear, we cannot provide leg or footwear.
Do you have GPS systems available for rental?
Yes we have Garmin GPS units available for rent, and they come at a cost of NZ$10 per day and the bike will have a GPS mount on the handlebars. We can pre-programme in your routes if requested.
What is the difference between an independent self ride motorbike tour and a guided self ride motorbike tour?
An independent self ride motorbike tour allows you the freedom to take the bikes at your own pace, whereas a guided self-ride tour means you will be touring with an experienced guide for the duration of the trip.
Do your guided self ride tours only have Harleys on them?
Yes you will only have Harley motorbikes on your tour with Bularangi Motorbikes. However if you come as a pre-arranged group to ride with us and someone in the group wishes another make bike, such as a BMW, we can certainly arrange this for you. But for our guided self ride tours we only have Harley Davidsons on the tour.
Are you guides New Zealanders?
Yes all of our guides at Bularangi Motoribikes are New Zealanders born and bred with a wonderful passion and knowledge of New Zealand and all it has to offer!
Can we just rent a Harley from you?

How much is your bond/insurance excess?
$3,000 bond/insurance excess per motorbike hired – this is taken in the form of a credit card swipe.
What storage do your bikes have?
All of our touring bikes have side panniers and either back rests with luggage rack or a top box – once you have confirmed the exact model of Harley Davidson you require we can send you photographs of your storage available on the bike.
Can we leave gear with you whilst we are renting a bike or touring with you?
Yes, you can leave any excess luggage you have with us whilst you have a Harley Davidson out on rental from us.
