Harley Davidson Rentals and Tours
Martin Korbmacher - Germany - March 2011
A truly memorable experience on a 14 day guided tour of the South- and North - Island. The organization was flawless. My bike a 2011 Harley Roadking as good as new when I picked it up in Queenstown. The daily tours where well selected and I had an easy time adapting to the bike and the NZ roads. Baz provided many, many insights into the various locations and was always happy to adapt the tour as see fit. We have finally driven almost 4.500 kms together on that trip and I can highly recommend Bularangi to anyone considering either a rental or guided tour. Another big thank you to Ali & Baz for a perfect road trip. Hope to be back at some point in time.
Bruno Le Lagadec - Wallis South Pacific - March 2011
Thank you Ali, it's was an excellent experience for us and for me a good pleasure to ride for the first time an HD motorbike. Sure, the weather was bad and it would be better to wait for that sunny week we have now!!! Thanks to Tony for his smiles and for having picked me up to the museum. I don't know if I can do another ride on NZ because I must leave the pacific in June but if I come back sure that I will come for a new ride in HD!!!
Andrew Comrie - South Wales - March 2011
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for making my trip to New Zealand not only memorable but exhilarating and exciting. From my initial enquiry nothing was too much trouble, you took care of everything and your help made organising my trip trouble free. Baz made me feel very welcome from the beginning and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and companion to see the spectacular sights of New Zealand only truly appreciated from ridding a Motorcycle. Although I’d ridden many bikes, I’d never ridden a Harley yet I found it easy to ride and the perfect bike for such an experience. If anybody wants to contact me and ask me any questions about my experiences with Bularangi Motorbikes, please feel free to e-mail me and I’ll be only to happy to pass on my experiences of the trip.
Jeff and Cathy Land, USA, January 2011
We had an absolutely wonderful trip. New Zealand is such a beautiful country. I can't imagine a better place to tour on a bike! We will be back and next time we will spend more time in each place now that we have a good understanding of both islands. So much to see. And, I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed all the Kiwi's we met. My experience with Bularangi was great!Tracey and Marcus, UK, January 2011
A great big thank you to Bularangi Harley Tours, we had an outstanding experience exploring the North Island on their 2010 Harley Ultra Classic. Baz and Ali were both a pleasure to deal with from our first e-mail enquiry through to the end of our trip; our GPS route planning was explained to us at length and we appreciated the amount of time that they both spent answering all of our questions. It was by far the favourite part of our holiday and it has to be the best way to experience New Zealand. Highly recommended!
Matthew Dukes, Australia, December 2010
My partner and I hired a Heritage Softail for the day and loved every minute of it, even when it rained. The bikes were in great working order, they supplied all the gear (including wet weather gear) and they even organised getting us to and from where we picked the bike up from. Thanks for a great and memorable experience, they simply couldn't do enough for us. The scenery on our ride was breathtaking.I would highly recommend the experience and again thank the staff for making it an absolutely fabulous experience.
Billy Gill, USA, December 2010
Great experience overall. Ali was a pleasure to deal with and everything was exactly as promised. The bike was a new Ultra that rode great. New Zealand was a fantastic place to ride and Ali and Bularangi Tours were an excellent outfit to rent from.
Anton and Sarah Turnewitsch, October 2010
We hired a Harley for a day while in Queenstown in October this year. I have been wanting to say how fantastic Peter and Shirley were. (You would have heard this sooner but I’ve been without internet for a while and previous to that the rankers site was not cooperating!). So, better late than never. The bike was fantastic, we rode from Queenstown to Invercargill in horrible weather, sometimes heavy rain, sometimes strong winds, a little hail and a one point all of this at once! Still came back with smiles on our faces. This is the second time we have hired from you guys in Queenstown and it is now a standard part of our trip! Thanks again to Peter and Shirley, for the loan of their own gear, for their overall hospitality and capping off a great day sharing stories from various rides and a very nice local red !!
Rodolphe Louys, July 2010
Dave Arlidge, April 2010
I was fortunate enough to have a few days leave to travel down to the South Island and catch up with family and friends so needed some wheels to get around. Thought about hiring a small car - boring!!! Then thought motorbike, then thought HARLEY DAVIDSON. Web search brought me towww.harleytoursnewzealand.co.nz
This
was so easy to organise, one phone call and a few emails and all set up
for me to pick the bike up in Queenstown late on a Sunday afternoon. Jo
runs the Queenstown operation and I can say if the world was full of
people with her passion and commitment to others then we would all be
"living the Dream". Within half an hour of arriving in Queenstown I was
cruising in the Southern mountains on a 2009 Harley Davidson Dyna
Superglide. A crowbar and a pound of force feed overboiled Spinach
wouldn't of wiped the smile off my face.
When you go an adventure
like this you build expectations leading up to the big day. These guys
exceeded my expectations. You guys have a great business and understand
your customers very well. Thanks for the experience.
Phil Thurbon, April 2010
Great ride just let down by GPS problems! Would've also liked to have stayed at the Waihi Beach B&B and done a couple of day rides from the one location... 20/20 hindsight! Otherwise, couldn't have been looked after better. Client service before, during and after ride as good as it gets. Thanks Ali & Baz for 'mothering' us as necessary :-)
Mike Smith, March 2010
11
days in what is one of the most scenic countries I have ever visited
and riding Harley Ultra Classics to boot. New Zealand was always on my
list of "must ride" places but for many reasosn always got put aside for
more 'exotic' destinations far away. After all NZ is only three hours
from Sydney so i could do it anytime right? Why did I wait so long. My
friend and I covered nearly 4000 kms in 11 days mostly on the South
Island. The whole renting experience from the first contact with Ali has
been seamless and first class. We arrived in Christchurch at the
dealers to collect our bikes and were made feel welcome straight away.
The
bikes themselves were presented in an immaculate condition and
preperation. I would rnak the whole experience with Harley Tours NZ as
First Class. A small critiscism was the small choice in gear I would
have liked a choice of helmets, raingear, jackets etc to choose from.
That said when it was obvious the rain pants didn't fit me, Baz
immediately solved the problem by giving me his own ones. Fantastic.
Thanks heaps guys we had a great time and experience.
Susan Pantel, March 2010
We travelled to New Zealand in March 2010 for our first motorcycle int'l trip and rented our Harley's from Bularangi Harley Tours of New Zealand. I worked directly with Ali via e-mail for the trip. She was very responsive and accommodating. There were a few things I had to follow up with her on that had been communicated and then forgotten, but she was always true to her word. Baas who delivered the motorcycles to us in Christchurch was very nice and passionate about his bikes. He sat down with us to do our paperwork and gave us suggestions on places to eat along our unguided tour and also helped us to make some last minute changes in our routing we requested. Overall I thought they were a trustworthy place to work with, offered a quality motorcycle rental, go the extra mile to accommodate your request in a fair manner. Finally, we would definitely go back and rent from them again. I made the arrangements for my own hotels, airfare, etc. Their insurance they offered was great also.
Steve Brabant, United Kingdom, March 2010
We've
just got home to the UK after the best motorcycle tour ever - and
that's counting 12 years of tours across Europe and North America.
NZ
Harley Tours can't take the credit for the fabulous roads, weather and
scenery in the South Island but they can take the credit for the
faultless hotel bookings and the detailed arrangements. We chose to
modify their standard tours and did a 14 day self-guided big double loop
around the South Island taking in every major sight and mountain pass
except Invercargill and the far south. Nothing was too much trouble for
Ali and Baz despite our fussy hotel preferences and changing attendance
list from eleven to the eventual seven people on four bikes. We also
rented clothing and helmets at no cost and a biking GPS at a very
reasonable rate.
We do have a few comments; three of the four
bikes were faultless but my Ultra was delivered with a serious front
brake disk warp that Baz was aware of. After some pressure, a
replacement bike was provided that also had a slight front brake disk
warp that I deemed acceptable. However this is a known issue with late
model Harleys and Baz needs to be on top of this problem with his local
dealership in Christchurch. The waterproofs were one-piece 'babygrows'
that are less than ideal (but are apparently being replaced this year).
Finally a couple of the recommended hotels were too far out of town for
convenience.
Once resolved, the brake issue did not affect our
enjoyment of the trip of a lifetime - the roads of Europe (and
especially the UK) are no longer safe for biking. Every biker MUST ride
NZ roads at least once in their life and I would highly recommend
Bularangi Harley Tours of NZ to make that happen. If you get perfect
weather like us, you are truly blessed.
Joan Parkinson, February 2010
Absolutely the best experience. We chose to join a guided tour for two reasons, to keep us on the 'right' side of the road and to meet like minded people. Fourteen days of riding the best roads on the North & South Island, on the best bike a Harley Davidson, eating the best food, staying at the best places, meeting the best people, having the best guides Baz and Tony, and did I mention the best weather. I won't mention all the bottles of great NZ wine and gallons of beer consumed by the group who became fast friends after the first evening at the bar. Ali answered all my a questions for a year prior to the trip and was there to meet us at the airport. What a beautiful country and what better way to see it than on a Harley. You have to experience this and you have to do it with Bularangi Harley Tours of New Zealand. I hope we can make it back again, but if not I plan to spread the word to every biker I know.
John Nisbet, February 2010
The holiday exceeded all my expectations and really was a trip of a lifetime and I've put down a wee list of "feedback", which I hope is helpful. The main reason for the enjoyment was the enthusiasm from the two of you and Tony which permeated through the group...scenery is fine but it is humans that we remember! Positives were: Ali's organisation and welcome at the airport. Baz's enthusiasm, humour, knowledge of his country and general leadership. Tony's enthusiasm, humour and knowledge of his country and ability to share his heritage in such a heartfelt manner. The roads, hotels and meals. The coffee stops which helped the group to gell. The route which offered something different every day...although I personally did not enjoy the road from Havelock to Picton, but made up for it the next day on the open sweeping road by Hunterville and the Desert Road, which I thought offered the real freedom of motorcycling.. Special Memories. Seeing Lake Tekapo as we rode over the hill. Tony's singing at Cardrona and presentation at Waihi. Your "cocktail party" at Hammer Springs and the complete stay there. The feeling of freedom and enthusiasm exchanged at every coffee and photo stop. Riding through the ferntree avenue before the Bushman's centre, after Whataroa. The Buller Gorge. The complete company on the trip.
Pete Davis, March 2010
My wife and I spent the thick end of 3 weeks riding around both South and North Islands. Ali's arrangements were absolutely perfect both prior to and during the tour. The bike provided was exactly what I requested and performed faultlessly. If you are thinking of touring NZ on a bike then look no further Bularangi is the company for you. Great people, great service, great bike 'nuff said.
Thomas Brun, February 2010
I have toured in both Europe and in every state In the U.S. and have dealt with many touring companies, but I have to rank Ali and Baz ( Bularangi Harley Tours) as one of the best. Ali set up the itinerary for my solo 12 day north & south island tour on the GPS (never made a wrong turn) as well as referenced the best hotels and B&B's. Baz even came to my motel early in the a.m. to make a shield change. Now that is what I call "customer service"! The Ultra I rented was perfect for the trip and was spottless upon delivery. I was embarrassed to bring it back so dirty but 12 fabulous days of riding will leave some dirt. The suggested routes (4,500 K) enabled me to visit most of the best of N.Z. and the scenery was fabulous! Put this trip on your "bucket list" ! You will not find a better company or a better riding experience! Thanks to both Ali and Baz for a most memorable time! Tom Brun.
Ken McDonnell , January 2009
I just wanted to send you a quick message to say how much i enjoyed the day out on the Harley. It is minus 5 degrees here at the moment,a far cry from a beautiful plus 25 degrees at 120kms with a sharp right approaching, absolute magic.New Zealand is a fantastic country for riding and hopefully i will get back to see you again and take a bit longer on the road next time.
Wah Teh, January 2010
What an awesome way to tour the Coromandel.Super people to deal with - Ali and Baz have been most helpful and a delight to deal with. Will certainly return for another tour.
Cindy and Ron Stegall, December 2009
As experienced Harley-Davidson touring riders, we feel that Bularangi Harley Tours of New Zealand, by far, has been the best company we have ever dealt with in our 20 years of touring by bike. From the first e-mail inquiry (that was answered within minutes) to the final turning in of the bikes, every detail was handled professionally and with personal interest for our comfort and safety. We asked for a 3 week route for touring NZ and hotel accommodations. They inquired as to our personal interests and preferences for what we liked to do and see, how long we wanted to ride each day, whether we wanted lay-over days, hotel requirements, etc. Within a day, they had sent an entirely customized itinerary showing the route, items of interest all along the way, hotel accommodations with internet links to each hotel for our ease of reviewing them, and much more. The ride itself was fantastic, and knowing that every detail was taken care of for us, from hotel rooms, a pre-programmed GPS showing us the route, reservations already made for some of the activities that they had recommended along the way, and a 24 hour number to call for any reason, we truly felt that we could not have chosen a better company! New Zealand was amazing! With each new day, we were always stunned by its changing beauty, wonderful riding roads, and incredibly friendly people. So much to do and see, we should have stayed longer. If you are interested in motorcycle riding of any kind (self-guided, guided, day rides, etc.,) this is the company to call. When one finishes a 3 week trip, and can truly say that they have no suggestions to the company for improvement, you have found the ultimate company, don't look any further! We found this company on the internet, had no knowledge of them at all, but we feel we found the “Best of the Best”!
Bill and Connie Maier, January 2010
From being collected at our cruise ship by a smiling Ali who seemed like a long lost relative to gearing up in Waihi, and all the floorboard scraping twisties along the beautiful scenic Coromandel Loop, just a wonderful experience, as my wife described it was a rollercoaster ride through paradise. We stopped for a wonderful lunch of New Zealand greenlip mussels at Pepper Tree in Coromandel. Kev, our guide was easygoing, professional, lots of laughs, and a great photographer, patiently taking lots of pics of us at picturesque stops along the way. We had a grand time with Kev and his wife Annette and the wonderful Ali. We didnt want it to end so Ali stopped on the way back to our cruise ship at Brownies for a toast with local beer and wine, the perfect end to an absolutely amazing day. Thanks so much for a fantastic experience!
Phil and Sian Artha, Wales, January 2010
Absolutely
Bloddy Brilliant!! What a tour, 14 days of North and South Island
Bularangi, great bike, roads (apart from the gravel) fab views and
superb people and what an excellent guide in Baz, good on ya mate! Can't
wait to go back. See you next year Baz for the Rugby World Cup when
Wales will beat the All Blacks in the Final????????/ Sorry Ali and Baz
but it only goes up to 10 out of 10.... it should be MORE!!!
Sammy and Sinead, Ireland and Germany, January 2010
It was absolutely the most amazing experience for both of us. We rode an ultra classic for two days and had the best time ever, the bike was the perfect choice for us. Completely smoothe and very comfortable for my girlfriend and me. And of course thanks to Ali who made this all going so well for us.
Big Rog, Thames Valley Vultures (VSOC), United Kingdom, Novemer 2009
Baz & Ali run a brilliant tour of NZ, having just completed their 22 day legacy tour I reckon I saw most of the significant places in the country. I give them my highest recommendation, you will have a ball. However, dont sign up for it unless you get out the cement, as Baz will tell you, and harden up up a bit, cos you will need it....its tuff but worthwhile for the experience if you think you can handle it.
Andrew, United Kingdom, January 2010
We had limited time so hired the trike for the day, out of Queenstown. It was all organised online and everything went perfectly to plan - Ali's emails kept us informed of all we needed to know. Jo was brilliant - friendly, really helpful and almost as excited as we were. It's a perfect area to tour around by trike - and yes, the posing is part of it, let's be honest :)) We were also very lucky with the weather. We can't wait for the next time!!
John and Arlene Stevens, November 2010
We have just returned to the UK after a 23 day tour of both Islands. What a wonderful experience it was! Our guides were superb. Besides being enthusiastic motorcyclists and excellent riders, their extensive knowledge of flora, fauna, natural and cultural history made them more than just your average tour guides. Safety and our wellbeing was always their top priority and nothing was ever too much trouble. The bikes were in mint condition, the accomodation excellent, the routes and stopping points meticulously planned. We would have no hesitation recommending Harley Tours NZ.
Renaud Bonnett, France, Sept 2009
We are two French moto racers and we have spent a very nice day on the road with the Harleys. We have rent 2 Harleys during one day (good price). We like this experience and they are very friendly, I like it. Thank you so much it was a pleasure to drive a Harley in Coromandel.
Ryszard, Stanisaw, Tomasz, Stanisaw, Poland, February 2009
It was 7 days trip for 4 people with 3 bikes around South Island. It was an undertaking very much professionally organised. Baz is a very honest, flexible person and well organized. He led us safely with left side of the road. To sum up we state that it was very much extreme and unforgettable experience. We recommend this kind of trip everyone.
David Lewis, Australia, January 2009
An opportunity to safely introduce my partner to the joys of riding. Now I can buy my bike! A wonderful afternoon spent with Dennis and Graham from Queenstown spent riding pillion from Queenstown to Glenorchy. Not much to do in Glenorchy, but that wasn't the point, Sue needed to experience the joy of riding a Harley and from the first moment we stopped after riding for about 15 minutes she was hooked. I have often told her of my experiences and now she had safely experienced it too. She's hooked and I couldn't be happier. Dennis, looked after her and made her feel very comfortable and by the end of the afternoon was riding pillion like she was born to the saddle. Thank you guys!!
Andy Cant, United Kingdom, December 2008
Fantastic. My Brother-in-Law (a Harley owner from the UK), myself (Japanese sports bike rider, living in Auckland) and a mate hired bikes on Boxing Day and went for a run round the Coromandel loop, which was recommended by Baz. The bikes were top notch, the hire process was easy, Baz and Ali were keen to communicate and work to ensure that our day went well and the weather was awesome! I would highly recommend Baz and Ali at Harley Tours New Zealand to anyone who wanted to hire Harleys in New Zealand. Thanks guys, a great day!
Ian Kemp, November 2008
I thought I would send a thank you note for the Queenstown Harley hire. The bikes were fantastic. Having only ever owned Japanese Sports Bikes and never been on a Harley or a Cruiser before we weren't sure what it would be like or if we would enjoy it. As soon I rode down the street I instantly felt comfortable and confident. The bike fitted me perfectly. After a familiarisation ride around Lake Hayes and Arrowtown to Queenstown we picked up our wives and headed off to Glenorchy for brunch. Unlike my sports bike the Harley felt natural and really easy to ride with a pillion passenger. Even going ‘two up' over the Crown Range to Wanaka for lunch was a breeze and a pleasure. After a leisurely ride to Cromwell and through the Kawarau Gorge we dropped the Ladies off at a Winery and went for a quick solo ride to Kingston and back before returning the bikes. I've done a lot of riding over the last 30 years. A day spent touring Central Otago on a 2007 Harley Softail would have to top the list. We all enjoyed it so much we have decided to make it an annual event. Next time we might take them for two days. When we picked up and dropped off the bikes Jo was wonderful. She is obviously an enthusiastic rider herself and her enthusiasm is infectious. We couldn't have felt more welcome. Please pass on our thanks to Jo and we look forward to seeing her next time. We will be recommending you to everyone we possibly can.

Pam Crisp, Waihi - March 2011
I was given a 2 hour Harley trip of our local area for a birthday pressie and it was great. Awesome ride but not long enough (could have gone all day)! Also has reignited my love of riding...hubbie might regret giving me the riding bug again!Merran, January 2011, Auckland
Saturday was a perfect day for a ride and it was so cool to tour Auckland on such an awesome bike. My friend and I really enjoyed the ride with Kerry and Divot, they were very considerate and experienced riders and I had a great time. Thanks guys x
Jean Mitchell, December 2010, Waihi
My 70 year old Mum wants to buy a Harley! On Boxing Day 2010, the rumble of the bike arrived and Baz introduced himself. Once kitted up and rules explained, Mum was off; leaving Papamoa, travelling over the Kaimai's and up to Te Aroha. She said that to be a pillion passenger on the bike was an absolutely amazing experience and highly recommends it to everyone. Thanks Baz & Ali for taking care of Mum, she had a blast.
Ruth Tinney, December 2010
I did the 1 hour ride with Jason and it was fantastic. Jason was lovely and very careful and safe. I have always wanted to ride on a Harley and this fulfilled my dream. The scenery was magnificent and the time went so quickly. We went through the Karangahake Gorge and then down by Wahai beach and both places were beautiful. I would definitely recommend Bularangi Harley Tours, whether just for the hour ride that I experienced or for a longer ride/tour. Very friendly and accommodating people who do everything they can to make it a memorable experience. Thanks guys, the highlight of my 2 weeks in your lovely country.

What an absolute magical day and an experience we will never forget. The only disapointing thing with this tour is that we didn't book it for longer. All credit to Ali and her team for their professional approach from when we first enquired through to the end of the ride and Kerry and Donkey our guides for the tour were brilliant. Thanks guys for an awesome experience and trust that we will be catching up again in the near future.Helen Knipe, October 2010
An incredible day for my family and I was spent touring the Coromandel Loop with Baz, Donkey & Divot.I am a rather large lady with a disability which required me to be passenger on a trike. Baz treated me with respect and kindness and made me feel alive again. I felt like a 'normal' person for a day and that alone was priceless. If you get the chance to tour Bularangi Motorbikes, you really should.
Joe Knipe, October 2010
I've always been a Harley enthusiast and yet never been on one (namely because I have as yet been unable to start learning), and I was surprised with this trip by my family. It was easily one of the best days of the holiday, quite possibly up there in the top ten days of my life to date. New Zealand is a beautiful country, but it's never looked better to me than it did from the back of a bike, with the wind blowing in my face.Baz, Donkey and Divot gave my family and I a day that we'll never forget and for that I am truly grateful. I arrived back in the UK yesterday and in two days time I am going to see a man about starting my bike licence. I can't wait to get back over and tour with them on my own bike.
Carol Robinson - October 2010
The Harley experience was really brilliant. the gentleman Andy (Blok) was a good safe rider and I did not feel at all nervous as this was my first time on a motor bike. My age is 70 and he took excellent care that I was safe and happy.
K D Storey - October 2010
Have been telling my friends about this. I had an awesome time, simply
the best way to spend an afternoon, seeing some of the worlds best
scenery on the best mode of transport possible. Thank you Baz and Ali.
You Guys Rock!
Chris Jorgensen, July 2010
An awesome experience and what a wonderful birthday surprise! a Harley tour has been on my wish list for a number of years and it exceeded all my expectations. The half-day tour as pillion passenger behind Baz on the Harley was exhilarating - I'm still grinning! The mid-winter weather was perfect and the southern Coromandel scenery was just stunning, the fresh air so clean and green. As a local I can recommend it as a fabulous way to see the country - excellent gear, very comfortable ride and a top guide happy to share his local knowledge and experience. A great experience all the way from Ali's enthusiastic response to my husband's initial enquiry right through to receiving the fantastic photos taken by Baz of my big day out!
Liz Mayall, March 2010
Just a quick note to say thank-you for a wonderful experience last Sunday. Kerry was a great driver and I enjoyed seeing Auckland through his 'eyes'. Much to my surprise, I never once felt vulnerable sitting on the bike which amazed me especially when we were on the motorway. For me there was only 2 negatives - the 2 hours went far too quickly! And that I had to wear a helmet - would have been great to feel the wind in my hair! Please pass on my thanks again to Kerry for a great 2 hours last Sunday.
Mathias Klein, February 2010
I did 2 pillion rides: Coromandel Loop with Kev and Gates of Haast with Pete. Those were my first rides on a motobike ever and I felt safe and loved it from the beginning. Everything was just great: perfect organization by Ali, awsome scenery, cool bikes and best guides. New Zealand's just perfect to explore on a Harley Davidson and if you think of taking a ride do it with these guys. You never feel as a client, but as a mate enjoying the same amazing thing. Looking forward to the next ride (hopefully soon).
Margaret, United Kingdom, January 2010
This super ride was a Christmas present from my cousins in Tairua during my visit from the UK. What a wonderful gift it turned out to be. I might have been one of your oldest passengers, but this old biddie couldn't have enjoyed it any more. Baz was very good company, very knowledgable, and looked very much the part (no pigtails!!). I was able to appreciate some beautiful countryside that I hadn't seen before while really enjoying being on that wonderful bike. I hope to be able to do it again on my next trip - but for longer next time!
Many thanks, and best wishes. Margaret.
Tracey Ann Hyde, Ireland, December 2010
I found myself in a tight spot trying to organise something different to bring my dad and his wife to his surprise 60th birthday party, there just wasn't anything in Christchurch until Bularangi came to the rescue.
The 2 lads who rode up were the bomb. The bikes, the gear, the look, everything was Harley Authentic and I'd recommend you to anyone who's looking for that experience with a difference.
My dad is still to this day talking about his Harley ride and the sheer exhilaration of going through the Lyttleton tunnel and the roar of the Harley, next time he want's to take one out for himself.
You definitely made the surprise party that much more of an experience. Thanks again guys, you totally rock!!!
Anne-Marie Banks, Queenstown, January 2010
I booked one of these amazing Harley's as a suprise for my fiance to pick him up and take him to our wedding. I really cannot recommend these guys enough. Ali and Baz organised everything for me and provided a beautiful Harley for my partner to arrive on along with a fantastic driver who took him on a ride around Queenstown before taking him to the wedding Chapel just before my arrival.
A wonderful experience and wonderful people- a must do for all bike lovers!!!
My partner was absolutely blown away by the experience and it was a wonderful tribute to his father who sadly passed away two years ago but had always wanted to own a Harley Fatboy.
We now have some truely wonderful memories and photos of us with the bike to remember our perfect day!!
Peter Turner, December 2009
A big thank you would be appreciated to go out to the guys as they were fantastic and we got exactly what we were after. Hopefully we can do it again.
Kim Reed, Christchurch, December 2009
We had the best time in Christchurch with Kevin and the rest of the guys, it was a work do for 7 woman hairdress's aged from 18-35 and each one of the girls loved it and felt completly safe.i would recommend this for all ages.
Thanks again to Ali for helping me to organise our amazing day
Mary Long, November 2009
I was gong to send you an e-mail anyway to say how fantastic, unbelievable and amazing my ride was but it was all down to Dennis he was just brilliant and we had a blast. He is a huge asset to your company, he really made me feel so special and explained so much and was so informative. It was truly the highlight of my holiday and I have not stopped talking about it since. One of my fellow passengers asked what was the highlight of my holiday so far and she was taken aback when I said the ride as of course the South Island is so pretty and stunning but hey that was the truth thanks to Dennis.
Neil and Sue Boyd, November 2009
The guys and the bikes turned up with the exact reaction we had hoped for, and in many ways better.... "leather clad men on Harleys"...Peter, with his face cover really sent the girls into full flight, as only a group of 50 year old hardcase women would. They all had been trying to guess what Sue had planned for them, the bikes were the high light of a perfect 24 hrs they had with Sue, some were suffering from a few wines, and a few hours of dancing and entertainment the night before. The girls really appreciated the interaction with the guys, some comments that we heard from the women who had ridden on bikes before..."We wouldn't have trusted our husbands on the bikes, but had total confidence in their chaperone's". Sue and I really appreciated the quality of the gear that was available to outfit the pillion riders in, as well as the professionalism of the guys to our day, both on the road and at the locations we stopped at. "As riders ourselves, we are aware and sensitive to the enjoyment and risks that go with riding motorcycles, your team gave us total confidence from start to finish." We would recommend your company to any other parties contemplating a fabulous couple of hours entertainment. Sue has had texts from the girls this morning, all saying that the smile is still on their faces from the ride on Sunday. We cant say enough thank you's.....but please pass on our warmest thanks to the guys.

Well, we ordered the 2 hour tour round Auckland - a present for my husband for our 40th wedding anniversary. What a fabulous experience and such a great bunch of people. We would recommend this to anyone who remembers what it was like to ride a motorbike in the middle of last century.

Spent eight days up and down the country as a pillion passanger, with Tony up north and Graham down south. What an amazing experience!!!! Saw the true New Zealand, everything was incredibly well planned and when the weather got the worst of us, got saved by Tony's fantastic wife or had lunch with Graham mother in law :-) Feeling like a real "biker" for a while is quite an adventure, and the incredible sights and sounds, the culture -- what a privilege having locals show you the "true" spots....Will be back. Thank you so much for everything – you guys were certainly incredible and the team LOVED it. Particularly thanks to you for being so obliging across the whole process and finding such great solutions for us – it worked a treat, and the bikes were fabulous – we will definitely be using you again – so thanks so much.

What a great ride. Baz took me for a ride around the lake at Rotorua and it fulfilled a dream I'd had for years. What a fantastic birthday present from my kids! Can't wait to do it again and go for longer.

Pillion tour for 4hrs and despite being a complete biking virgin (almost), Graham was fantastic and despite strong crosswinds almost constantly i felt very comfortable on the bike. Am inspired to perhaps get my licence now. Of all the activities i did in Queenstown i rank this the best and would recommend to anyone. Excellent!

A dream come true !!!!! I never thought I would be on a Harley bike ever but this country seems to make some dreams come true. Got a tour for my Christmas present from my boyfriend, it took me around Whangamata, Karangahake gorge,Such lovely scenery. Baz is such a cool guy, it would be soooooooooooooo cool to have a job that you love and enjoy also like giving the harley experience to some one else . Thank you for a great day thanks, ill see you again.

Baz was a great tour guide, he showed me sites that i had never seen before and gave me information that i took home and shared with others. The bike was amazing, so comfortable and it felt really safe. He even stopped allowing me to take photos. My experience on the bike was memorable and we also had a great selection of music to listen to. :) Ali was so helpful and always welcoming when talking to her on the phone. They were both so flexible in organising a time for the ride, even when we had to postponed due to weather and my slight fears of getting on the back of a Harley for the first time. I really enjoyed this experience and would recommend others to exprience this for themselves.
I know i'd definatley like to do it again.
Thanks Baz and Ali for this experience. It was really FUN!

I can't believe how much we enjoyed this tour and would thoroughly recommend this as the best way to see Auckland. From being quite apprehensive, I can honestly say that I have never felt safer and so was able to relax and enjoy the sights and smells of the beautiful countryside. Definitely the highlight of our visit to New Zealand.

Ali and Baz of Harley Tours were very helpful in the planning of our Auckland City Tour. We travelled as part of a group of 15 people (approx. 30 people in total including our friendly riders!), so there was alot of planning and organisation involved to make it all happen. It was great to finally meet Ali, Baz and the rest of the gang on the day. It was very exciting and we all had a fantastic time! All very positive feedback from this end. Everyone raved about how good the tour was, and they're all still talking about it. Even those that had a few nerves in the beginning soon got over it and really enjoyed the experience. I felt safe in the hands of the riders, who all seemed very experienced. They were a great bunch of guys, who obviously love their bikes and love what they do. A few people commented that it was a lot more comfortable on the bikes that had a back rest. It was also nice to have a rest break and stretch the legs. Magnificent scenery along the way - and a very unique way to see the sights of Auckland! It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.

We REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoyed our time with Dennis and Graham - and would recommend the tour anyone wanting to see the REAL Queenstown and beyond - well worth the money we have done a lot of sight seeing - Alaska, States, Fiji, and the Island AND THIS WAS JUST THE BEST - great guys, and we learnt more in that day from them than we would have had we gone with a bus group etc we were free to just sit and learn and enjoy the scenery whilst with the riders being so experienced we were safe and warm as toast we cannot express our thanks to the team word can not say how we feel - 10 years younger and relaxed.

Shame I can't give a rating of more than 10! This company certainly deserves a high rating. I used them in Auckland a couple of weeks ago. A mate and myself wanted to visit Rotorua, but we were very short on time, i.e. one day. We heard Baz and Peter's bikes before we saw them. On walking out of the hotel in Auckland there was people admiring the 2 harleys. Baz was one of the most professional guys I know, and safety was paramount. After fitting us with jackets/helmets/gloves etc, they made sure we were ok as pillions and off we went. This was without doubt the highlight of our trip. The scenery was breathtaking and the day flew buy My biggest memory is riding out of Rotorua with the Rolling Stones, 'Paint it Black' blasting out, what a way to go. Baz made sure and reassured us all day if we were ok, and they would have us back to the airport in time. I explained to Baz that at this time I didnt care if I missed the flight as if I did there was always another flight, and I would book another tour with them the next day. Baz fortunately (or Unfortunately) got us to the airport in time, no problems at all I am now back in UK and am planning next years trip. I cannot thank Baz enough for what he did for us, he was so utterly professional and a great guy to be with.

It was one of the top 3 things I have done in my life. I just need to find a man with a Harley and I will die a happy woman. The guys were fantastic. Thanks.

I can not express how amazing our experience was. I orgainsed our 2 hour Pillion Tour as a surprise for my husbands birthday. He is recovering from cancer and one of his wishes was to have a Harley Ride. Ali and Baz helped me to orgainse a dream for him. We had to change the day we went due to the wether but were so please we did as the day could not have been more perfect. Terry & Kevin picked us up from our home to the greatest smile I have seen on Shane's face for such a long time. We had an amzing time, all our needs were meet and it is a day we shall never forget. Thank you to everyone for making Shanes' dream come true.
